I was invited to a BBQ by a good friend who owned a house in Shirehampton Road, Stoke Bishop. Over a sausage bap we mused that as his house was on a corner plot and large, it was ideal for a development opportunity by building a new house in the garden.

I thought no more about it.

Six months later my friend called to say he had a planning consent, so could I get on with it.

The house of some 2,300 ft2 looks as good today as the day we built it. Foley Allan’s first project.
